All Yoga Teacher Training 200hr Overview

Since 2010, our Ashtanga yoga teacher training program has trained hundreds of yoga lovers from all around the world, certifying them under the Yoga Alliance international standard to teach yoga classes safely and with confidence. Our yoga training supports students in deepening their understanding and relationship to the practice by studying the magic ingredients of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as taught by Pattabhi Jois: breath, bandhas and dristi.

With comprehensive methods to make the practice accessible and appropriate, our approach is modern, therapeutic, challenging, supportive and steeped in tradition.

Training Overview

This 200hr course is based upon the sequence of the Ashtanga Primary Series (Yoga Chikitsa) and the creative flow found in the Vinyasa Flow style of asana practice (eg. Rocket Yoga Vinyasa). While the traditional Ashtanga Primary series lays a strong foundation for students, they will also learn and be inspired by various other yoga styles to help develop and sequence Vinyasa Flow classes. In these styles, the asana practice focuses on breath, dristi (gaze) and bandhas (inner energy locks). By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently teach the Ashtanga Primary series as well as creating Vinyasa Flow sequences.

From day one, the course will guide students through proper techniques including: key alignments, modifications, variations, contraindications, use of basic yoga props, the art of adjustment, and teaching methodology along with practice teaching.

As the foundation of the Ashtanga Yoga Vinyasa Primary series is established, principles of sequencing will be taught so everyone can create a Vinyasa Yoga flow class according to the needs of their own future students. To finely balance the Yang practice of Ashtanga, we will incorporate other styles such as Yin Yoga to provide students with a broader education and enhance their overall experience with yoga. Thai Yoga massage will also be introduced to teach safe and appropriate hands-on adjustments for different bodies.

In addition, we will share our strong expertise on the business of yoga, covering useful topics like marketing, pricing, teaching group or private classes, and setting up your own yoga school.

Most importantly, the All Yoga teacher training system is designed to help you find your own unique "yoga voice" and help you learn to teach from it.

After completing our program, you will become a certified yoga instructor, ready to safely teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with confidence.
